PALLET HEAT TREAT INFORMATION
The Five Biggest Problems Businesses Have When Buying Pallets Are:
NOT getting the right pallet for the job,
NOT getting the right quality pallet,
NOT paying a reasonable price for that quality,
NOT getting fast, professional customer service from a reliable vendor, and
Spending way too much time and manpower managing pallet problems.
At Palatec, We Eliminate These Problems By:
Providing expedited production and fast delivery,
Providing one-stop shopping for all of your pallet, and wood recycling needs,
Providing additional value-added services such as vendor managed inventory, PALATEC TRUCKING delivery, automatic restocking, and blanket orders.
PALLETS
The most effective new pallet is custom designed for size, lift devices, load weight and type, number of uses, and other characteristics. The grade and amount of wood, the design, and the quantity produced are the major determinants of cost. Over-design means paying for more pallet than you need, and under-design can result in spilled load, and injured workers.
Cut-to-Size Components
We can supply precision cut new or reconditioned lumber, blocks, and plywood for in-house pallet repairs, or other packaging needs.
Recycling
We pick up unwanted pallets and wood waste for our customers.

ISPM-15 Requirements
Compliance with ISPM-15 for wood packaging materials allows for two treatment options:
Heat Treatment (HT): Wood packaging material should be heated in a schedule that achieves a minimum core temperature of 56ºC for a minimum of 30 minutes. The American Lumber Standards Committee administers the U.S. certification program for heat treatment.
Methyl Bromide (MB) Fumigation: The wood packaging material should be fumigated with methyl bromide. NWPCA has been tasked by the U.S. Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service to administer the fumigation program.
NOTE: ISPM 15 requirements apply to all species of coniferous (softwood) and non-coniferous (hardwood) packaging materials. Hardwood is no longer exempt.
